Five of us go once a year to different areas, rent a home for a week and relax. The week this year at Cripple Creek was the best in many respects. The views from the wrap-around decks are breath taking. The amenities were first class - from furnishings, appliances, beds, kitchen utensils, you name it. Wild life as plentiful including daily visits from ground squirrels and deer. We even were treated to a visit from a doe and her two fawns. Paraded right by the deck. Spectacular. The weather was accommodating. Even though it rained late in the afternoon on several occasions it didn't dampen our experience. Watching the cloud banks build, move over the mountains and across the valleys while sitting on the porch... excellent! We had a wonderful time and recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing get away.

Thanks for such a wonderful review. We appreciate hearing from our guests telling us what a great time they had at our cabin. We as well, love sitting on the deck and watching the weather move in. So amazing!! Thanks for the cute film of our twin fawns and the drone aerial of our home. House was left in great shape. Come back and see us again. Thanks, Craig & Linda
Thank you so much for allowing our family to enjoy your spectacular home! This was our second visit to the beautiful state of Colorado, and by far the best! We found the perfect spot in your home to enjoy the many activities offered nearby. Our stay was truly exceptional, it was absolutely everything we’d hope for. The attention to detail with your home decor was spot on for the location and style of your home. I can't say enough about the views, simply stunning! Plenty of room for our group of seven to enjoy peaceful alone time throughout the house. The trampoline was an added bonus we didn’t expect, but certainly a hidden treasure that brighten my 6 year old’s day. We’re looking into planning another trip to this area and hope your home will be available.
Many Blessings to you and yours!

We continue to decorate home with original artifacts and collectibles and are happy to have guests that appreciate this. Great guests, home was left in good shape, conservative water usage, and checkout instructions were followed. So glad you made lasting memories. Come back when you can stay longer. Thanks, Craig & Linda Hill.
Thank you Craig and Linda for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! We couldn't have picked a better place to gather the family for our 40th anniversary celebration. We had rain for most of our stay, but got to enjoy a fantastic lightning show across the sky and mountain ranges one evening and the following evening were treated to the most intense rainbow that I think I have ever seen. Truly breathtaking! We were able to use your home as our "home base" for our activities in the area. The whole family participated in Arkansas river rafting one afternoon and jeep off-roading another day. The third day all were on their own and saw the Garden of the Gods, the Fossil Bed monument and toured Manitou Springs and Florence, Colorado (the antique capital of Colorado). For a summertime road trip, I would recommend Colorado Rd 86 for a truly breathtaking drive from Victor to Florence. There is so much to do in this area, there was no way that we could see everything that we had wanted to see. Beautiful, fun area! Your cabin sits on the side of the hill in a gorgeous area and has everything that one could want. Very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen for making meals and very spacious. We were a party of 7 and were able to gather around the large table for our meals comfortably and noticed that the table could extend for even more place settings if needed. We were able to sit out on the deck one evening to enjoy the view of Pike's Peak, breathe that crisp mountain air and watch the wildlife in the area while warming our hands around a cup of coffee. It was so peaceful! We would love to come back!

We are honored that you chose our home for your 40th anniversary. Sounds like you guys had a great time. Florence is one of our favorite places to check out antiques and artifacts. We find new things to do every time we are in area. Please come back and visit again. Thanks, Linda & Craig
Thank you to Craig & Linda for making our 50th anniversary with our families such a memorable one. We couldn't have made a better choice to celebrate this way. We had an excellent time at their exquisite cabin with all the detailed decorating of the home. We call it a " piece of heaven" as it was so peaceful sitting on the deck and admiring all the beauty around it along with the wildlife in the area. The full moon from the deck of the master bedroom was beautiful. There were so many things to do and see in the area. The memories we made with our families will stay with us forever and we would love to come back in the near future. Thank you again, Craig & Linda for sharing your lovely home with us. You just have to experience the stay to enjoy it. Larry & Pat

Overall the experience at the mountain cabin was fantastic. If your looking for beautiful views, this is the cabin for you. We enjoyed the location of the property. The cabin is centrally located to many Colorado activities. We enjoyed driving up Pikes Peak, white water rafting on the Arkansas river, in addition to the many other activities we experienced. The cabin has everything you could ask for. Our favorite part of the day was sitting on the back deck drinking coffee and enjoying the wildlife around the cabin. The cabin was very spacious and luxurious, we definitely would stay here again! Thanks Craig and Linda for opening your home to us!!

Thank you guys for your kind words. We hope this vacation will be forever in your memories. Cleaning staff manager was very impressed with condition of home after your departure. Please visit again. Thanks, Craig & Linda Hill
What a truly wonderful home! And there are simply no words for the view - although "breathtaking" is close. The home is furnished beautifully and there was nothing (literally nothing) we needed that was not provided! We were immediately at home and we had a fabulous time. We want to especially thank the owners for being so gracious and helpful when it became clear we couldn't leave on our scheduled day! We woke up to news of a blizzard impacting northern Texas (our route back to Houston) and contacted Craig and Linda to see if there was any way to extend our trip by a day. They were lovely to deal with, and we were able to avoid a difficult and dangerous drive! We can't thank you enough. We're already planning our trip back! Thank you again for sharing your wonderful home and making our family holiday even more special.

The Eagles Nest is an amazing cabin and has everything that you could possibly want for a wonderful getaway. Modern and spacious accommodations, plenty of room for everyone and well stocked with virtually everything you need for your stay. The pictures really do not do justice, you definitely have to see it to appreciate. Very comfortable beds, huge table to seat everyone, nice porch/deck area with grill. Conveniently located for day trips to Colorado Springs, Canon City, Cripple Creek, etc. Many, many things to do in the area. We stayed 6 nights and didn't get a chance to see everything. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area and the opportunity arises. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with our families!

Dear Craig and Linda,
Thank you for sharing your fabulous home! The view and surrounding environment was incredible. Truly a picture of God's handiwork! Your home is purely a calm and serene place.
The kitchen was equipped with everything imaginable with a quality to be expected in such a lovely home. The little amenities included added such a personal touch. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. The décor and theme of the various rooms added a "homey" feeling. Our bed was very comfortable. The cool night air felt wonderful with the window open.
The location gave us an opportunity to easily experience the surrounding towns and local culture. I have to agree that the pictures do not give the home or the breathtaking views credit.
Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home!! Would love to come again sometime!

Thank you for your kind words. We have strived to create a very special experience for all of our quests. We will continue to upgrade décor and add to the true Colorado Log Cabin experience. See you next year.
Your cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed it tremendously. Ya'll were so great letting us order the fight by agreeing to take it out of the deposit. That was so wonderful knowing you did not have to accomodate us. We really appreciated that. The one and only draw back was the proximity to any public fishing. Regardless, we had a terrific vacation and couldn't not have enjoyed the accomodations any more. Thanks for sharing your awesome cabin with us.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much. Our cleaning staff was very happy with condition of house. Water usage was very conservative. Your my kind of people. I will have the guys some fishing places located if you come back next year. Thanks, Craig and Linda Hill
This place is FULLY equipped! And GORGEOUS!! We needed a place large enough to fit 4 couples comfortably, including a dining area large enough for all 8 of us to enjoy a meal together, and this place was PERFECT. The views are incredible, there are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and all the furnishings are new and luxurious. The kitchen was easy to navigate and had all the essentials stocked. The driveway fit 3 cars easily, and could have fit a 4th if necessary. We drove from south Denver and stopped to visit Garden of the Gods on our way to the lodge, and as an excursion one day we visited the Royal Gorge, which was incredible. We also spent a day just lounging around, which was so easy to do in this place. The roads around the area are well maintained, which made travel easy, and also made for an enjoyable afternoon run. I'd return to this cabin in a heartbeat!!
