Description

Nestled at the base of the Fraser Tubing Hills, Sasquatch's Hideaway is a great destination for both Winter and Summer vacationing. Whether you plan to ski and snowboard in the winter, or mountain bike, go fly fishing, and attend some outdoor concerts in the summer, your stay here is sure to be comfortable.

The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and six drawer dresser, as well as a large closet. With a similar storage setup, the second bedroom is great for kids, as the twin over full bunk will sleep three. Between these, you'll find two bathrooms and a laundry area with a full sized washer and dryer.

This is a corner unit, bottom floor, backing up to open space and the railroad. From the back porch, you have an unobstructed view of the Continental Divide to the South, Fraser Tubing Hills and Winter Park Resort immediately West, and Byers Peak to the North.

The Living Room is equipped with a full sized sofa bed which can sleep an additional two guests, as well a Blaze King wood stove that keeps the entire condo toasty warm during those cold winter months. The double patio doors and large windows allow for plenty of warm natural light.

The breakfast bar is great for family and friends to enjoy each others company while meals are being prepared. You can serve dinner right out of the convection oven onto the plates on the bar, and the downdraft range means that when you come back in the afternoon you won't still smell the bacon you cooked at breakfast.

The large dining room table is great for gathering after a day on the mountain, to share a meal, work on a puzzle, play cards and games, or use our free Wi-Fi to plan your next day's adventure.

The number of things within walking distance are almost too great to list: Grocery and Liquor Stores, Starbucks, Restaurants, Bars, a Winery, Post Office, The Lift bus stop (free shuttle to Winter Park), Amtrak station, and of course, winter tubing.

With so much to see and do in the Grand Valley, at all times of the year, Sasquatch's Hideaway is the best place to come back to relax after a day of fun.

Super location to everything and also quiet

We had a wonderful stay, this place had everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. Garry & Mindy were great hosts and let us check in a few hours early. The best part is that my brother came up to visit and was able to bring his fat, lazy golden retriever. We snowboarded, went tubing and did a snowmobile tour. Great Spring Break vacation and would stay again. We are from FL and we loved building a fire and the warm and cozy heated floors.

Excellent property and location.

Loved getting off Amtrak and short walk to this condo. Well stocked with all kitchen needs. Easy walk to Safeway for food. As others mentioned the master bed is very soft and fitted sheet likes to come off. Heated floors and fireplace a big plus after skiing Winter Park and Mary Jane. Tubing hill was a blast! Easy walk to eat Mexican at Julio’s and drink the snake Tequila! Recommend to all and will come back.

Pretty good, not perfect

Some hitches in payment notifications and welcome email that has entrance instructions were annoying, they all went to spam folder

Charming and very clean

Enjoyed the condo and the view. I would definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone going to that area! Would’ve liked it better though of the front door was more secure.

Great place.

Would book again.

Clean and comfortable plenty of room

This is an end unit on the ground floor in a condo complex. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils etc. there’s plenty of seating at the kitchen high top counter and large dining table. There’s a nice private patio area off the main living area. The bedrooms are a good size and bathrooms are nice. Only down side is mattress in the second bedroom is a bit hard! This condo is in a good central location with Winter Park , Grandby, and Grand Lake. Should be noted there is a train track close. I’m not sure about the train schedule, one night there were 3 trains while the other 2 nights there was only 1 train. Our dog Tatum was welcome here and enjoyed his stay as well! Overall nice place in a good location.

Nice place!

The overall character and amenities were great! It was nice to be off the road and also have our dog with us. Summertime without screens on the windows was a little tough due to bugs (and the windows need some fixing to close from the inside), but it suited our stay great and we enjoyed the place. Thanks!!

Ok at best.

Its great that the condo is pet friendly. But has no A/C and none of the windows open/work properly. And none have any screens. The condo was hot a stuffy. The only way to get fresh air was to leave the 2 doors open and let the bugs in. Now this wouldn't be much of an issue in the winter months. But we stayed in July. We all slept in the master bedroom because the other room was just so hot and stuffy. I feel as this issue should have been disclosed in the ad. O honestly wanted to cancel when we got there because of it. But we just drove 1000 miles and didn't want to rebook somewhere else. Oh and the bed was super soft and uncomfortable.

The place was beautiful, accommodating and close to town

A beautiful property with all the accommodations. It was well kept and maintained. Our family had a great time.
