Description

Sunny loft with a mountain industrial vibe and an epic view of Vail ski trails through floor-to-ceiling windows. Easy access to Vail Village, the ski mountain, hiking trails, restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and FUN.
Fully-equipped kitchen, including espresso machine.
Free parking + Free town bus that runs until 2am - you could park your car and not drive for your whole vacation, if you wanted to!

During warmer months, relax with a cup of coffee or refreshing adult beverage on the mountain-view balcony.

Recently renovated and redecorated, this modern mountain loft will be your home in the Sandstone neighborhood of Vail with a great open feel. High ceilings and the south-facing windows provide lots of natural light and views of the slopes of Vail Resort.
The bistro table set on the balcony is great for relaxing with a drink or snack during the warmer months, while looking out at Vail mountain.

THE BEDROOM is the upstairs loft:
→ Queen Bed with memory foam mattress
→ Views out to the slopes of Vail.
→ Hardwood floors

→ Sleeper Sofa for additional sleeping down in the living room:
equivalent to a full-size bed (it's as long as a queen, but as wide as a full; 80"x55"). This sleeper sofa is not like a typical pull-out couch; it's actually quite comfortable, with no springs to cause pressure points. As a bed, it's on the firm side, so I've provided a memory foam mattress topper, in case you prefer your bed to be a bit softer.

BATH
For a spa-like experience, the walk-in slate tile shower is equipped with a luxurious rain shower head.

KITCHEN
Let your inner chef out: the kitchen is equipped with a basic assortment of cooking tools: pots, pans, knives, cutting boards, measuring cups/spoons, a toaster, blender, etc.

→ Coffee-Lovers: there is a Nespresso machine with aeroccino so that you can enjoy a nice espresso beverage in the morning with frothed milk. When I'm in town I keep a small assortment of coffee pods available, but if I've been gone for a while and many guests have stayed, I can't guarantee that there will still be pods available, so bring your own if you have favorites (the machine takes the original style Nespresso pods).

ENTERTAINMENT
There is a TV hung on the wall, with a Roku attached. There are a variety of streaming channels available.
Please note that there isn't cable/satellite service here (but who has time for TV when there's so much to do outside!).

Additional Location Information

Everything you need is close by:
→ two grocery stores (Safeway and City Market),
→ liquor stores
→ world-class restaurants in Vail Village and Lionshead
→ ski lifts/gondola
→ hiking (on Vail mountain, the North Trail just up the street, or any of the other great trails in Vail)
→ Mountain Biking (Vail has a great downhill trail system during the summer)
→ Fly Fishing
→ the list goes on and on...Vail is an awesome place to visit for outdoor activities, culture, and nightlife.

...all within 3-10 minutes via the free bus or car.

A car isn't necessary when staying here, thanks to the great bus system, but if you prefer the flexibility of a car, there is free parking for 1 car at the condo (non-assigned, so just use any open spot).

→ Free Town of Vail Sanstone bus line:
Fast and easy access to all of the great skiing/riding, shopping, restaurants and activities in Vail Village and Lionshead. You can even text your stop number to find out when the next bus is scheduled to arrive so that you don't stand at the stop in the cold very long.
The bus runs all day, from early morning to late night; Sandstone Creek Club stop is just steps from the condo property on Vail View Drive - the bus will get you to Vail Village in approximately 5-8 minutes.

Note that the bus schedule does vary depending on the season. During ski season, buses run every 20-30 minutes. During summer, spring and fall, buses run every 1 to 2 hours. For the most up-to-date schedules, visit the Town of Vail's website or ask for a paper bus schedule on the bus or at the Vail Transportation Center.

Once in the village, you can catch the ECO (Eagle County) bus to go elsewhere in the Valley. For example, Beaver Creek ski area, Eagle County Airport, Wal-Mart in Avon, etc. Note: Unlike Town of Vail's free in-town bus, ECO bus service to neighboring towns is not free, but is inexpensive.

Walking: there is a pedestrian bridge across I-70 (the highway that gets you to Vail from Denver) not too far from my condo that will get you to Lionshead village. It's a nice walk (~1 mile/20 minutes), but not ideal when carrying skis, so I'd stick with bus or car if you're carrying equipment.

Highly recommend

I would highly recommend Greg’s place! It is absolutely adorable, comfortable and fabulous !! He is great with communication ... you will not be disappointed.

Perfect home base

We stayed at Greg's place over President's Day and were lucky to find such a perfect home base on such a busy weekend. The apartment was the perfect size for a couple and just a few minutes walk from the bus to bring you to Vail Village. There is plenty of room for skis/gear and the balcony is perfect for drying stuff off. Also, the Nespresso machine was a lifesaver! Thanks for the hospitality, Greg!

Great host and location

Greg was a great host and had a terrific place to stay in Vail. The location was great for us. We would love to come back!

meh.....

Nice place, perfect for two people, however, for $300 plus a night I feel it was over priced and could have been better. How? well, the microwave was taped shut(therefor unable to use) Ikea sofa was hard and not pleasant to spend anytime length of time on, the towel bar and toilet seat in the only bathroom were both loose ( for the record Greg, this should be tightened and if you can't , find one that fits). Towel bar is very close to bath heater(fire hazard).

Thank you for your stay and your feedback, Dawn. I actually returned a week ago from a trip out to Vail to check on my home and address the issues that you reported. This included tightening the toilet seat (it only shifted slightly when one would sit on it, nothing out of the ordinary, as loosening of the bolts does happen over time, but it's nice and snug now) and seeing why the microwave was taped shut (clearly the previous guest had done this, since Dawn's report was the first I'd heard of it). The prior guest had damaged the door lock, so the door didn't stay closed on its own - it's fixed now. There is a memory foam mattress pad kept inside the chaise portion of the sofa for people who prefer a softer surface to sleep on. This is mentioned both in the listing and in the house manual, so apologies if that wasn't clear. My goal is always for guests to enjoy their stay, and the overwhelming majority do, based on the 160+ glowing reviews received across all rental sites. I hope to welcome you back again sometime so that you can have the same high-quality experience that other guests have had.

Great spot in Vail

Greg's place is the perfect little crash pad for a ski weekend in Vail. It has everything you need and the location is great. Hoping to be back soon!

Will stay again

Greg's condo was everything we hoped for and more. Waking up to the view of the mountain with the sun coming in was honestly majestic. The condo was very stylish and clean with newer amenities and a killer coffee machine! Greg is VERY on top of communicating and has a great welcome guide to the place as well detailing everything you would want/need to know about the place and the town. 10/10 would recommend. Half tempted to book another trip to Vail just so I can stay here again.

Excellent!

Greg was a great “ host”. Communication from initial reservation to tips for check out were prompt and helpful. His condo is lovely with beautiful view of the slopes. The kitchen was wonderful and we especially enjoyed the Nepresso machine, allowing us to enjoy an express with steamed milk before we hit the slopes each morning. The bus stop to Lionshead was a short walk and very convenient. The beds were quite comfortable, including the fold out sofa bed ( which was superior to most fold out sofa beds). Greg’s tips for ski rentals, restaurants and even the grocery store were helpful and spot on! We look forward to another visit.

Great location

Great location with easy access to free transit to mountain. Space is comfortable, clean and well appointed. Greg was responsive to questions we had as first-timers to the area. Would definitely stay there again!

Would definitely stay again

We were very pleased with our rental experience. The owner was responsive and sent a thorough and helpful informational brochure on Dropbox prior to our stay. The studio was perfect for our needs, was tastefully renovated and appointed, and a great location. We would definitely stay again and recommend this unit to others.
